Every parent wants the absolute best for their child and North Star PTA agrees.

Being a member of North Star PTA (NSPTA) means advocating for all our children to bring the relationship closer between home and school. All families should feel welcomed, invited and involved in our community while still finding times to help that fits their personal schedule. NSPTA is responsible for over fifteen various school wide events, committees or programs; the most prominent being the Technology Program for all students grade K-5. Becoming a voting and active member means having a say in decisions that impact all our children and staff.

It takes a healthy budget to pay for the many programs we support like the Technology Program, Stars On Stage, Science Fair, Wolf Pride Market, Teacher Appreciation, All Pro Dads Breakfast and so much more. Instead of offering various fundraisers for families to endure throughout the year, we choose to offer Direct Donation. All families are asked to make a donation of $100 per student attending the school or whatever fits their personal budget. With the suggested contribution, we are able to fully fund our budget and offer the wide variety of fun, creative and meaningful committees for everyone to enjoy.

Your Support Makes a Difference

Your support of the PTA helps ensure that we can continue to provide these excellent programs for our children. Instead of traditional fundraising like selling magazines, wrapping paper and such that take a lot of time and coordination we ask parents to make direct donations to the PTA. These donations help us keep our school rated so well and a unique experience for all of our students.

Technology Program

Did you know that APS does not provide a technology program or instructor as part of your student’s pull-out curriculum. However, the North Star PTA recognizes how important technology is to the students and is happy to fund and provide a technology program with Open Source Kids a local non-profit founded by Anthony Lupinetti, a North Star parent. Open Source Kids provides your students a weekly technology pull-out that teaches them basic computer skills, robotics, coding, electronics, and online safety.

Direct Donation

The PTA funds all the programs listed above but we can only do that with support from you. This fundraiser is in lieu of students selling door-to-door, collecting money and delivering goods. Please help us continue to offer these great programs that make North Star a unique experience for your children. For any questions please contact our DDC Chair Krishawn Greene at
